Dickinson County

Dickinson County, Michigan was formed in 1891 from parts of Marquette, Menominee, and Iron counties. It was named for Donald M. Dickinson, who served as U.S. Postmaster General under President Grover Cleveland. 65% of the county’s acreage is suited for forest, recreational and public hunting. Ford Airport serves Kingsford and surrounding communities with scheduled commercial jet service and general aviation. Additional communities within Dickinson County include Channing, East Kingsford, Felch, Foster City, Hardwood, Loretto, Ralph, Randville, Sagola, and Waucedah.
