Florence, Wisconsin is the county seat of Florence County and sits 11.5 miles northwest of Iron Mountain. Known for the Chain O’ Lakes, which consists of eight lakes connecting to the Menominee River, it provides a beautiful year-round setting for fishing, boating, jet-skiing, and more. Aurora, Wisconsin lies across the Menominee River from Kingsford, Michigan. It is located 6 miles west of Niagara and 15 miles southeast of Florence. In addition to hosting annual Truck Mud Runs and Antique Tractor Show, Aurora is home to several excellent restaurants, drawing diners from near and far. Population was 947 in the 2020 census.
