Florence County, Wisconsin is located in northeastern Wisconsin about 1.5 hours north of Green Bay and was founded in 1881, taking its name from the Florence Mining Company. Over 50% of the land is publicly owned, with 265 lakes and 165 miles of rivers. There are miles of forested trails to hike, bike, ATV, horseback ride, cross country ski, snowshoe and snowmobile.
